Welcome to the very first edition of SHOPSERVE UNFILTERED! The one place where we, the two sisters behind Serve, are letting our unfiltered thoughts out—because, you know, why not? Brace yourself for some real talk, funny anecdotes, and a sprinkle of wisdom as we share what’s happening behind the scenes.
To kick things off, we figured we'd better answer the big question: “Why did we start Serve?” (Spoiler: It’s not just because we love looking fabulous.) And also, who exactly are we, the sisters, steering this ship? So buckle up, and let’s get into it!

HOW WE STARTED SERVING WITH SERVE.

Like many great ideas, ShopServe was born out of a personal "aha" moment—me realizing how unstoppable I felt in a killer formal outfit. For the longest time, I had no clue where I was headed, but one thing was clear: the right clothes can make you feel like a total boss. So, why not create a brand that does just that for women? We get it—corporate dressing shouldn't mean choosing between style and comfort or blending in with everyone else. That’s where ShopServe comes in: slow fashion, high-quality fabrics, and outfits you’ll want to live in (and still slay in). Oh, and when we say "sustainable," we actually mean it—no extra buttons just for show! You're welcome.

 

 

Behind the Scenes: Meet the Sisters Running ShopServe

Okay, it’s time for the fun part—introducing the masterminds behind ShopServe (that’s us!). And yes, we’re sisters. Real sisters. So trust me when I say we’ve had our share of disagreements about everything. Let’s say we’ve perfected the art of working together… after years of fighting over clothes, TV remotes, and whose turn it was to cook.

Kanwaleen

Hi, I’m Kanwaleen, the marketing brain behind ShopServe. I’m 21 years old and obsessed with making women feel powerful (because who doesn’t want to feel like a total boss?). When I’m not brainstorming reels or figuring out ways to make our brand stand out, I procrastinate on Instagram. I also love chatting with customers (connect with me on instagram), figuring out what makes them tick, and dreaming about how we turn ShopServe into an empire (move over, Gucci!).

Praneet (The Creative Genius)

Now, meet my older sister, Praneet. She has all the real fashion experience—Pearl Academy grad, former stylist for Marks & Spencer, and overall design queen. If you love our clothes’ clean, sharp, yet super cool vibe, you’ve got Praneet to thank. She’s the one pushing boundaries and making sure ShopServe never looks basic. Her motto? “Why design something simple when you can make it extraordinary?” She’s like that annoying perfectionist in school… but in a good way. 

Together, we balance each other out. I come up with wild ideas, and Praneet keeps them from getting too crazy. (She also vetoes about half of my Instagram captions. "Too lit to quit" wasn’t appropriate for a formal wear brand. Whatever.)
